Tascam DP-02

while recording a track i pushed the stop key (but must have hit some other key by accident at the same time) now the device is locked/seized up with a manual pop up message the says "NOT STOPPED" (transport is not stopped) pushing the stop buton or pla or record or even turning the power off does nothing except shoew the pop up message again - help? ... yes i know how to reboot the recorder but having done that once before it will lose All material on recorder. any suggestions? thanks...
